The first dog day of summer calls for a showcase of our new Mod Dog canvases! Check out the new Labrador, Golden Retriever, Corgi, and Jack Russell additions to my Susan Battle Needlepoint line.

The other Mod dogs (Bulldog, Doxy, Labrador, and Westie) can be seen by clicking here.

These canvases are easy and fun to stitch. They also lend themselves to trying new, decorative stitches.

Stay cool! Susan

Stitching for a Cause

Remember the post about The Point of It All’s Oops Sale? Here’s a link to refresh your memory: http://thepointofitallonline.com/pink-ribbon-campaign/

I am so pleased to report I just sent a check for $1000 to the Sullivan Breast Center at Sibley Hospital in DC! Well done, stitchers!

Also in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am posting our new Susan Battle Needlepoint “Courage” ornament. I had already designed a pillow but now I have the canvas sized down to an ornament for the Christmas tree or a bulletin board.

Pink Ribbon Campaign

Finished Susan Battle Needlepoint Breast Cancer Ribbon canvas

I designed this canvas in support of all the family and friends who have courageously fought breast cancer.

And here it is finished!2013-04-22 14.40.49 - Copy

The canvas is 6.5″ x 6″ from the widest points and is on 13 mesh. $44. Available exclusively at The Point of It All, both in the shop and online.

More details to come but we WILL be doing our Oops Sale in June. The Oops Sale works like this: stitchers donate canvases they won’t ever stitch; we price them at $10, $50, and $100; you come in and shop and all of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Happy stitching,
Susan

Taking a Seat!

Susan Battle Needlepoint's Tea Cups child's rocking chair

I just picked up one of my Susan Battle Needlepoint canvases from the upholsterer…I am so pleased with the results! Take a look:

I’ve also designed a Tea Cups canvas and a Treasure Map canvas that fit this child’s rocking chair. Obviously I’ll be doing the pink tea cups one for my baby Betsy! She can’t sit up unassisted yet but it’s never too early to start stitching!

Of course I’ve also planned to stitch the leopard print child’s director’s chair from J. Child Designs for her…I am going to add “Miss Battle” inside the pink outline.

The Susan Battle Needlepoint designs are available through my website (click here) or you can always call the shop to order them and any of the wonderful J. Child designs.

Betsy will have her choice of prime seating! If I get really ambitious and neglect all of my work and family duties, I could stitch this full sized chair from Trubey Designs. It is magnificent. It’s the sort of the Statement Piece that you stitch and then design a room to go with your chair!
