I'm thrilled to be back at The Point of It All after a wonderful maternity leave with Baby Jack (already three months) and Betsy (two years in October)! I'm easing back into working full time: I will be at the shop three days per week right now. It's been great to see customers and to get back in the needlepoint swing of things. I was excited to pick up two of my pillows that had been finished while I was away. I stitched a Jean Smith floral and a Kate Dickerson Ikat. Here they are pictured in my guest room. We don't have many guests these days but I still thought the bedroom needed some needlepoint. (The next step will be painting the walls; "builder's white" makes me kind of sad.)
I used Silk and Ivory on both canvases. I did a Bargello pattern on the floral one, which was fun and fast. There are so many different Bargello patterns--I love June McKnight's book. She has great pictures and diagrams. We carry this book at TPOIA. As always, happy stitching, Susan
